These terms apply to the Koemoji app for iPhone and to this website. By using them you agree to the terms below.

What Koemoji does

Koemoji transcribes and translates Japanese speech from videos and audio you add, for your own language study. Transcripts and translations are produced by AI and can contain mistakes. Treat them as a study aid, not a certified translation.

Your content

You keep all rights to the videos and audio you add. You confirm that you are allowed to use them for personal study, and you agree not to use Koemoji to copy or redistribute content you do not have rights to. Podcast episodes belong to their publishers and are fetched from the publishers' public feeds for your personal study only.

Free minutes and paid plans

Each learner gets 60 minutes of transcription a month for free. The allowance resets on the first day of each month and does not carry over. If paid plans are introduced, their price and terms will be shown in the app before you buy, and payment will be handled by Apple under Apple's terms.

Acceptable use

• Do not try to break, overload or reverse engineer the service.
• Do not upload content that is illegal or that you have no right to use.
• Do not resell access to Koemoji.

Availability and changes

Koemoji is an early product. Features may change, and the service may be interrupted or discontinued. We will give notice of major changes where we reasonably can.

Liability

Koemoji is provided as is. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for losses arising from the use of the app, including from errors in transcripts or translations.
